Weight Plateau Management Of Obesity

A state of balance when energy intake is equal to energy expenditure
Change in Diet or physical activity is essential at this point for further WEIGHT LOSS.

REASON FOR WEIGHT PLATEAU :-
01. Client not follow the proper monitoring ?
02. Client is bored with Diet & Exercise ?
03. Client was on Crash Diet ?
04. Less / High( >1.5gm/Kg), intake of Protein ?
05. Same Diet followed from beginning ?
06. Use-to with Diet & Exercise ?
07. Stress ?
08. Client was followed Diet & Activity According to her/himself ?
09. Client loosed many Kg of Weight. Then not loosing ?
10. Lent Diet Deviation (Cravings, Pangs) ?
11. Late night sleeping.
12. Was on Temporary leant  Stress like Angry/ Shouting.
13. H20 (water) retention.
14. Motion not clear. ( Constipated)
15. Asses the biochemical parameter ( Fat% is under normal but muscle L.B.M is high, Bone density is high).
16. Medicine Sleeping Peels, Antibiotic, Pain Killer, Anti-Allergy Medicine, Steroid. OCP.

MEDICAL REASON :-
a. Insulin Resistance ?
b. Hyperinsulinimia ?
c. Hyperprolactenemia ?
d. Hypothyroidism ?
e. Was on Herbal Medication ?
f. Was on Steroid ?
g. Addiction of Cough Syrup/Medicine ?
h. Any Extra Growth in Body ? Eg- Tumor.

Plateau Busting Tactics :-
1. Avoid weighing too frequently, or you may find yourself feeling a bit despondent.
2. The closer you get to achieving your weight –loss goal, the slower the weight tends to fall off.
3. To lose weight, you need to burn more Calorie than you Consume !

Vegetable & fruits  :-
A.Keep track of what you eat, and be sure to exercise. Eat healthy, balanced meals. Avoid too much fat and too many calories. Include more of fruits & Vegetables.
B. Don’t under – eat ! If you eat too few calories, your body will try to protect itself by slowing down its onto its fat for survival.
C. Drink plenty of water! Water helps speed up the metabolism. Additionally, if you drink a glass before each meal, it will help to decrease your appetite, and encourage you to eat less.
D. .Get plenty exercise, If necessary, increase the length  of your workouts. Vary the types of exercise you incorporate into your workouts, as well.

High protein foods :-
Vegetarian :-
A.Milk:- Skimmed milk, Yogurt, Cottage cheese.
B. Pulses:- All dals, Sprouts, Kala chana flour.
C. Soya:- Soyabean, Nutrinuggets, soya flour, tufu, Roasted soya nuts.

Non- Vegetarian :-
a. Chicken
b. Others- Proteinex
c. Seeds- Flax, Pumpkin, Sesame, Sunflower.
